The Hoppeland cycling route lies to the north-west of Poperinge, close to the French border. The name of the route refers to the hops, which found fertile soil here in the clay strata. Points of interest along the route include the town centre of Poperinge with the national hop museum and Talbot House, the Lovie castle grounds, Couthof castle and the Helleketelbos (a public wood).
